How Does ClearCorrect Work?

ClearCorrect Tampa, FL

The ClearCorrect system offers a tailored experience for those who want to straighten their teeth. This is done without letting the whole world know they are going through orthodontic treatment. This revolutionary method is an excellent choice for both adults and teens who want a straighter smile without the hassle of braces.

But do you know exactly how ClearCorrect straightens your teeth?

How do ClearCorrect clear aligners work?

Much like braces, clear aligners use force to move the teeth into a corrected position. Unlike braces, clear aligners move the teeth gently, comfortably and invisibly. Find out how ClearCorrect produces beautiful results with their one-of-a-kind aligner tray technology.

Your consultation

Every ClearCorrect patient will first need to visit the office for a consultation. During that first appointment, the dentist will discuss the goals of the treatment with the patient. The dentist will then create a personalized treatment plan that takes teeth from crooked to straightened. At the consultation, the dentist may also discuss a quote for the treatment time and cost of the aligner system.

To ensure the teeth are clean and healthy before starting treatment, the dentist may recommend having a dental cleaning prior to receiving the first aligner. The health of the teeth and gums is imperative when starting any kind of orthodontic treatment. Thankfully, ClearCorrect clear aligners make teeth healthier than braces, as they do not harbor bacteria and can be removed for optimal dental hygiene.

The first set of aligners

After the treatment plan has been approved both by the dentist and patient, the first tray is created. The first set of aligners is usually meant to be worn over a period of two weeks. Each aligner needs to be worn at least 20-22 hours every day to achieve results at the scheduled time.

Treatment time

Treatment time relies on the amount of time each aligner is worn daily, along with the complexity of the bite issues. Generally, ClearCorrect takes about a month to start showing results. Most patients are finished with their aligners after 12-18 months. Very small adjustments will take a shorter amount of time, while more complex corrections usually take the full 18 months to complete.

Each aligner tray is customized for controlled movement of each tooth further into its corrected position. Little by little, the ClearCorrect aligners will move the teeth into their final, straightened position. Trays are meant to be worn for periods of one to two weeks at a time, depending on the exact instruction by the dentist.

ClearCorrect aligners are made from a high-grade form of plastic. The aligners do not irritate the inner lining of the mouth and lips and cause very little sensitivity. An added bonus, the aligners are virtually invisible, both in photos and social situations.
