Have you ever met someone anxious to visit the dentist? Perhaps you feel a bit uneasy around certain procedures. Dental anxiety is common, but at North Tampa Dentistry, we go above and beyond in making our patients feel safe, secure, and at home in our comfy dental office! At times, patients may feel more comfortable during a procedure with certain forms of sedation that can put them at ease while we keep their smiles full and bright!

What Is Sedation Dentistry?

During a procedure or visit to the dentist, some may request or require a bit of help with certain forms of sedation. Our patients in North Tampa, Lake Magdalene, Hamlet, Brentwood, Carrollwood, and the Lutz areas can feel rested and at ease with our two forms of dental sedation:

  • Nitrous Oxide (also known as laughing gas): To help patients feel calm, we give them a mask that allows them to breathe in nitrous oxide before undergoing treatment.
  • Oral Sedation: Some patients may prefer taking a pill before their appointment that provides similar effects and results to nitrous oxide, creating a calm, care-free dental experience!
